800 sf Kitchen Remodel
This active young family loved spending time together, but their existing layout made it difficult. The kitchen, dining room, and family room were separated into smaller spaces that quickly felt crowded during daily routines like cooking, homework, and family time. The challenge was to create a space that supported togetherness without sacrificing function.
2FORM studied multiple layout strategies to improve flow and spatial connections within the first floor. By rethinking the arrangement of rooms, the dining room and family room were swapped to open up the heart of the home and better connect the kitchen to everyday activities.
Custom cabinetry and a redesigned kitchen layout became key elements in making the space feel open while maintaining necessary storage and work areas. The result is a flexible gathering space where the family naturally comes together; children doing homework at the island while dinner is prepared and everyone participating in the cooking process.
